Important News:  Unfortunately, the Bergen SciChallenge, originally scheduled for May 30th, is cancelled for this year.  Please come back in the fall for information on the 2021 fair.

Congratulations to our 2019 Broadcom Master’s National Semifinalists, Matthew Schmid, Divyash Shah, and Cynthia Jacob

The Bergen SciChallenge at the Bergen County Academies welcomes students in grades 5 to 8 residing in New Jersey to participate in our fifth annual science fair. The science fair will allow middle school students to explore the various fields of science, including biology, environmental science, psychology, mathematics, computer science and engineering. Students will carry out a research project, which they will present at the fair. Prizes will be awarded in all categories.  No project is too basic, it’s an understanding of the scientific process that makes an individual a successful innovator.

All participating students will receive a tee shirt and certificate of accomplishment. Participation is limited to the first 100 eligible applicants as determined by date of receipt of their complete registration. Top winners in grades 6 to 8 will be invited to apply to the Broadcom Masters Competition (Washington, DC.) sponsored by the Society for Science and the Public, where winners are eligible for a grand prize of $25,000.  Are you up for this challenge? Are you ready to be a scientist and explore your world?
